Xbox One Gets A Price Drop To $299 Ahead Of Slimmer Version To Be Announced at E3

If you have held out on buying an Xbox One, now might be the time to finally drop the money on one. Starting today Microsoft has dropped the price on the next-gen gaming console to $299 with a 500 GB hard drive, and $319 for 1 TB. This price drop comes in ahead of what is expected to be an announcement at E3 in a couple of weeks revealing a new slimmer (possibly 40% smaller) unit with a larger 2 TB hard drive. It is said that this is just a temporary upgrade as there will be a more powerful Xbox One coming later next year to compete with Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 4.5 “Neo” system arriving later this year.
