It is sounding like the Warner Bros. TV stable of shows is looking to grow by one more. This upcoming TV season we are already looking at the addition of four DC Comics transitioning to our televisions with The Flash, Gotham, Constantine and iZombie. There is also the report that Warner Bros. TV is looking to develop a series based on Supergirl too. Now a report from sources, which has been confirmed by DC Entertainment’s Geoff Johns, is that WBTV is looking to develop a Titans TV series. It is said that a pilot is in development. It is being written by Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind, The Da Vinci Code, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin).
The (Teen/New) Titans is an action series centers on Dick Grayson (probably best known for his alter ego as Robin), who emerges from the shadow of Batman to become Nightwing, the leader of a fearless band of new Super Heroes including Starfire, Raven and many others. As I’m sure many would love to see the chance for a series like this, but it is reported that this is one of three pilots in a holding pattern at TNT while they undergo a management change. So only time will tell if this will actually happen or not. (Source: WSJ & Deadline)
