Warner Bros. Finds Their Cyborg for Batman-Superman

hollywood-movie-newsA rumor back in February hinted at the possibility of Cyborg appearing in the Man of Steel sequel. At the time, the thinking was Warner Bros. was looking at trying to cast Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for the role. Well now The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Warner Bros. has found their Cyborg and it isn’t Johnson.

It is reported that Ray Fisher, who apparently is best known for portraying a young Muhammad Ali in the stage production Fetch Clay, Make Man, is in negotiations with Warner Bros. to play Victor Stone, aka Cyborg. With the movie already featuring Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, it is looking like this really will be a Justice League origins of some kind.

Man of Steel 2, “Batman vs. Superman,” will be directed by Zack Snyder, will star Henry Cavill as Clark Kent and Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne and is slated to hit theatres on May 6, 2016. (Source: THR)

A good choice. I’m not sold on the “Quick make our own Avengers film!” that they have going on, but at least they are casting some good actors in the role.

    • I just hope in their rush to compete, they don’t fall hard on their face. This isn’t a race any longer, not with Marvel this far ahead. So WB needs to do it right.

That’s what i think too. Especially now they have announced a Justice League movie. If it were me i’d ditch Wonder Woman et al from the Superman Vs Batman film and save them for the justice league.

Instead use the Supes Vs. Bats film to bridge the gap between a film where guys fly around shooting lasers out their eyes and a character who’s last three outings have been as grounded in reality as possible.
