Warner Bros. Announces ‘LEGO Movie’ Sequel for May 26, 2017

hollywood-movie-newsIt is being reported that Warner Bros. has announced The LEGO Movie sequel today. They have even given it a release date of May 26, 2017. Yep three years away. Having a successful box office run, making a little over $200 million worldwide so far, WB seems more than eager to get working on a second movie.

Returning are Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who wrote and directed the first film, will be producing the sequel. With Jared Stern and Michelle Morgan writing the sequel.

So far The LEGO Movie sequel’s competition is an unnamed Marvel movie that will be opening in the first weekend of May 2017. But in June an unnamed Pixar movie and Despicable Me 3 are due to arrive in theaters in June 2017. So a little competition for it.(Source: The Wrap)
