The Kickstarter project for the Transforming Collections Toy Reference Book, did pretty good in raising the necessary funds. It even met quite a few of the stretch goals (goals above and beyond the initial funding needed). But even though it was a success, it didn’t meet one of the stretch goals a few were hoping it would meet, getting a hard cover.
Well project leader Philip Reed, has announced that he has decided to go ahead with the hard cover. So the Transforming Collections Toy Reference Book will now be a 7.5″ x 7.5″ hard cover book. Also, instead of being a 28 page book, it will now be a 40 page book. So lots of good news for those interested in this book. (Source: Kickstarter)
Okay, after discussions with others (including our Resupply Depot backers) the decision has been made to go ahead and proceed with the hardcover option. I know that we didn’t meet the hardcover stretch goal, but presenting the book in hardcover is very important to me so I’m just doing it.
And since we’re going with hardcover I have also decided to dig deep and push the page count to 40 instead of 28. So as of today Transforming Collections is a 7.5″ x 7.5″ square hardcover 40-page book. I hope everyone is happy about the change in specs.
My Transforming Collections book is growing one last time. Upgrading to 8"x8" 48-page hardcover.
