Trailer for Batman: The Killing Joke Arrives

The official trailer for Batman: The Killing Joke has arrived.

The R-rated animated movie based on the 1988 Alan Moore graphic novel tells the origin story of The Joker and how his obsession with Batman developed. The movie reunites Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill, who were vocal nemeses in Batman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures and a number of Batman animated movies. Conroy reprises his role as Batman, while Hamill returns as the Joker.

Batman: The Killing Joke will debut at San Diego Comic-Con, which runs July 21–24. It will then be released directly to video.

I haven’t been this excited since The Dark Knight Returns …..hopefully we will have this out retail by early fall.

    • What do you think about the animation? I know it’s a close match to the graphic novel, but it has a distracting Beavis and Butthead feel to it.

I think once you get into the first 15 min some won’t notice as much. Reminds me a bit of the animated Batman: Year One film. Was almost a page for page / frame for frame spot on adaption. Has a bit of grit to it.
Beavis and Butthead lol, I was just watching that the other day lol
