Tom Hardy Signed to Play Sam Fisher in ‘Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell’ Movie Adaption!

hollywood-movie-newsSome big news for gaming fans was dropped, Ubisoft has announced that Tom Hardy (Inception, The Dark Knight Rises) has been signed on to play Sam Fisher in the live-action movie adaption of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell. Also, screenwriter Eric Warren Singer has been set to write the script. The Splinter Cell doesn’t at a studio yet, but many studios have been competing for the franchise, most recently Warner Bros. and Paramount. Ubisoft really seems to be making the push into movies lately, with their recent announcement of Michael Fassbender being attached to the Assassin’s Creed movie and now this. It looks like gaming fans will have a bit to look forward to in the next couple of years. (Source: Collider)
