‘The Flash’ To Be More Sci-Fi, Plus Grant Gustin’s Flash Will Survive Even If Series Doesn’t!

television-news-and-talkDigital Spy is reporting some great news for fans excited about the upcoming Flash series. They have posted an interview with executive producer Greg Berlanti, which he shares some interesting things about the upcoming show.

First, fans should expect this show to be more sci-fi compared to Arrow. The Flash will also feature more super-powered characters, with the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator that gave Barry Allen his super-speed, continuing to play into other storylines. S.T.A.R. Labs will also play an important part of the series.

Lastly if you are a fan of Grant Gustin‘s Barry Allen/The Flash, which if you caught the two-part Arrow episodes that introduced Gustin as Barry Allen then you most likely are, will be excited about this. Berlanti says that even if The Flash series doesn’t take off, that they plan on keeping Gustin around by most likely having him as a regular on Arrow.

“Fingers crossed we don’t screw it up and he gets his own show!” he joked. “If he didn’t, I don’t think we would ever want to let Grant go. He’s too valuable. That would be our hope, I think – no matter what, to keep Barry part of the universe.”

This is great to hear. Though we haven’t seen Gustin as The Flash yet, he was great to watch as Barry Allen on Arrow, but let’s hope The Flash has success in its own series. (Source: Digital Spy)
