The First Official ‘300: Rise of an Empire’ Trailer Debuts Along With New Poster

hollywood-movie-newsWell the first trailer for 300: Rise of an Empire has arrived, but oddly, the movie doesn’t arrive until next year now. Not sure if the reason for releasing the trailer now is to bank on Zack Snyder’s name when Man of Steel is released this week or what. Though I look forward to checking this movie out, I wonder if it still has a place, is the stylized genre it kicked off still something people are interested in? Guess we’ll find out next year. So the first trailer gives us a good look at Queen Gorgo (Lena Headey, who has a small role in this sequel), the Greek general Themistocles (Sullivan Stapleton), Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Artemisia (Eva Green). 300: Rise Of An Empire is based on the graphic novel Xerxes, by Frank Miller and stars Sullivan Stapleton (Strike Back), Rodrigo Santaro, Eva Green (James Bond: Casino Royale) and Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), originally slated for August 2013, will arrive in theaters on March 7, 2014.
