That’s right, Supergirl beat out all other shows premiering this fall TV season according to Variety it debuted with 12.9 million viewers overall. That beats the other DC TV superhero shows, Arrow and The Flash, plus Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. So some girl power helped Supergirl this season, a very strong opening.
Not to dismiss it, but one would suggest that one of TV’s top-rated shows being a lead in, Big Bang Theory, probably helped, but viewership did grow in the second half of the show, so it wasn’t entirely just people not changing the channel. This is great news for fans of the show and for those that missed it, I definitely suggest giving it a viewing, it was fun from beginning to end.
Supergirl will be all new on Monday, Nov. 2nd at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
