Storm Collectibles has released photos showcasing the final version of their Mortal Kombat Klassic series Scorpion figure.
Storm’s Scorpion figure stands in a twelfth scale and is based on the character’s appearance in Midway’s arcade classic, Mortal Kombat, which debuted in 1992. The figure features a newly developed body that stands 7-inches tall and has over 30 points of articulation. According to Storm, the figure’s body underwent some fine-tuning since we last saw it at Toy Fair, in Feb, resulting in a better product. Scorpion will come completely hand painted, which should ensure a more artistically applied detailing that has a personal touch. The figure includes an alternate skull portrait, two different masks, six pairs of interchangeable hands, a fire effect, and Scorpion’s signature weapon the kunai; a harpoon-like spear.
Storm Collectibles’ Scorpion figure is scheduled for release between July and Sept. Currently, Storm only has distribution rights for the figure in Asia, excluding Japan and Korea.
