Sideshow has released preview photos and a video detailing their upcoming sixth-scale C-3PO figure. Unlike Tamashii Nations’ sixth-scale C-3PO, Sideshow’s C-3PO is not constructed of die-cast metal, however, the paint applications used on Sideshow’s preview figure would make you think otherwise.
C-3PO is weathered as he appeared in the Tatooine desert in Star Wars with visible scoring, dents and dings throughout his body. The figure is highly articulated and each finger includes two articulation points, which makes holding the included commlink accessory a cinch. The figure also includes a magnetic restraining bolt, features light up eyes and stands in scale with Sideshow’s R2-D2, which is slated for release next month. A Sideshow Exclusive C-3PO will be available with a damaged shoulder (post Tuskin Raider attack) with exposed wiring as the unique accessory. Pre-orders for the Sideshow C-3PO figure start next Thursday, November 20.
