Shazam Replaces Aquaman in Latest Justice League: War Preview Clip

hollywood-movie-newsNewsarama has a new preview clip from DC’s upcoming animated movie Justice League: War. Something of interest here that you’ll notice that Shazam has replaced Aquaman as a founding member of the Justice League in the movie.

“He’s such a fun character, inherently, because he’s every kid’s dream. You’re a kid, you say a magic word, and you turn into ‘Superman,’ basically!” Phil Bourassa, character designer on the project told Newsarama. “He represents the joy of being a superhero. He hearkens back to a classic era, and he’s not grim and dark. I just latch onto that. He’s fun to draw because you can feel his fun going through you as you work on the character.”

Justice League: War is directed by Jay Oliva, with script by Heath Corson and starring the voice talent of Jason O’Mara (Batman), Alan Tudyk (Superman), Michelle Monaghan (Wonder Woman), Christopher Gorham (Barry Allen), Justin Kirk (Green Lantern), Shemar Moore (Cyborg), Sean Astin (Shazam) and Steven Blum (Darkseid), and will be available February 4th, 2014 on Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack, DVD and Digital HD download.
