To classify Hot Toys’ Star Wars showing at San Diego Comic-Con as huge would be appropriate.
When Hot Toys announced they’d be making a sixth-scale Millennium Falcon cockpit environment, we thought we’d seen it all. We didn’t. Hot Toys’ massive sixth-scale TIE Fighter, which was displayed by the Falcon cockpit dwarfed flight quarters of Han Solo’s spaceship. Forget about the cost to purchase the TIE Fighter, we can’t imagine what the price to ship the TIE Fighter will be.
Besides the massive new environments, we got our first look at Princess Leia from A New Hope and saw reveals of Boba Fett in sixth-scale as well as a Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper disguise figure. There was a TIE Pilot inside the TIE Fighter, but we couldn’t tell if it was a Hot Toys figure or Sideshow’s upcoming TIE Pilot.
In the quarter-scale, the Darth Vader, Stormtrooper and Boba Fett–all of which we’ve previously seen–were on display.
