Scientists Find Evidence of Planet Beyond Neptune

Planet XAstronomers Mike Brown and Konstantin Batyginsay claim to have discovered evidence that a ninth planet–tenth if you still can’t come to terms with Pluto’s demotion to a dwarf planet–exists in our solar system.

According to Brown and Batyginsay the strange elliptical orbits of a clustering of six previously known objects beyond Neptune suggest a planet with a mass of up to 10 times Earth’s is steering their direction. This would put the elusive “Planet X” at seven times the distance to the sun from Neptune.

Brown and Batyginsay published their finding in The Astronomical Journal, today.
