Though it ran for 4 seasons, I still wish we would have gotten more Farscape. Sure it wasn’t the best sci-fi series, but it was still a great one. I really enjoyed it and was saddened when I learned that it was ending. But now there appears to be a glimmer of hope we are getting more Farscape!
It is being reported by Inside Film that Justin Monjo is working on a screenplay for a new Farscape film (most likely a TV movie). What little plot details we know are, the story would pick up with John Crichton and company several years after the end of the Peacekeeper Wars mini-series. John and Aeryn’s 19-year-old son, who has been discovered in hiding, has been forced to rejoin his parents aboard their spaceship.
This new project will apparently be directed by Brian Henson, with Jim Henson Productions. Henson served as a producer for Farscape’s entire run, with very little directorial credits. There is not word so far that the show’s creator Rockne S. O’Bannon is involved in any capacity. I do hope this works out and we can get some more Farscape, and I do hope that they get O’Bannon involved in some way. (Source: Inside Film)
