According to a rumor today — appropriately on Batman Day — Heroic Hollywood has a scoop that says we can expect to see not one, but two new trailers for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. According to Umberto Gonzalez’s (unconfirmed) report, “Warners is supposedly planning TWO teasers for Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice to air on Monday night October 26th, the night of the Supergirl premiere on CBS.”
One of these teasers will be featured on CBS during Supergirl and focus solely on Superman. Then over on Gotham during the same night, there will be a second teaser focusing on Batman. Then according to Gonzalez, this will lead to a full-length trailer that will, “premiere in November on Thanksgiving in front of the theatrical release of Creed. The trailer could also appear in front of Spectre and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.”
I’m sure one might say this doesn’t seem too plausible, but I would definitely argue against that and say it seems like pretty smart marketing if you ask me. Take advantage of both shows’ demographics and interests and lure new potential fans in. I definitely hope this turns out to be legit, I think it would be pretty cool to watch.
Supergirl premieres on Monday, October 26th at 8:30 p.m. EST on CBS. Gotham will be all new that same night starting at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
