Robot Chicken’s Baby Skeletor Gets a Figure

Mattel Baby Skeletor from Robot Chicken

Just when you thought you’ve seen it all, Mattel announces a 12-inch Baby Skeletor figure based on TV’s toy-box spoof Robot Chicken.

Baby Skeletor comes dressed in a diaper resembling his iconic loincloth and includes a removable “Born to Rule” t-shirt and Havoc Staff rattle.  Pricing information hasn’t been announced, but Baby Skeletor goes on sale June 12 for early access subscribers, then as part of the monthly sales open to all on June 16, at MattyCollector.com.

Here’s a look at Baby Skeletor–joined by Baby Beastman–from Robot Chicken.

That toy is beyond terrible. Garbage.

    • I know a lot of MOTUC fans are unhappy with this, but I don’t see the big deal. It’s a one off that has no impact on the MOTUC line. I personally don’t have any interest in it, but I think it’s fine for what it is. I haven’t watched Robot Chicken in a few years so the affinity for it isn’t there like it was with Molar. I think the rattle is pretty clever, but a 12-inch Baby Skeletor just doesn’t fit into my collection. WIth that, I wouldn’t want to see items like these not get made just because it’s not something we want. I like to see toy companies try different things. Sometime’s they’ll stick, other times they won’t–keeping the avenue open for creativity of this type is the most important part. Today it could be Baby Skeletor, tomorrow it might be Snake Mountain or the Slime Pit.
