The results are in for the second LEGO Ideas review period of 2015 and the brickmaker has announced two fan-designed sets will make it to retail in the coming months.
There were nine sets up for consideration this review period and the winning selections are Carl Greatrix’s (Ideas user bricktrix_Carl) Caterham Super Seven kit car and Brick-Built Adventure Time figures by Ideas user aBetterMonkey. We were rooting for the Ghostbusters Stay Puft Marshmallow Man to go with LEGO’s recently released Ecto-1 and Ghostbusters Headquarters sets, but, alas, it was not to be. The two newly approved sets will go undergo a final product design phase with the LEGO team before seeing release.
The next Lego Ideas review phase is already underway with nine new projects in consideration including Jurassic Park Explorer, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea NAUTILUS, Toyota Landrover 40 Series, Beatles Yellow Submarine, HMS Beagle, Apollo 11 Saturn-V, Concorde Display Set, National Park Service Centennial Vignettes and a Victorian London Christmas set.
Lego Ideas, formerly known as Lego Cuusoo, has resulted in the production of fan proposed sets such as the DeLorean Time Machine from Back to the Future, Wall-E and The Big Bang Theory living room set.
