When news of the sudden and tragic death of Paul Walker hit the internet, many assumed that Fast & Furious 7 (which was just over 60-75% completed) would have been cancelled. In the following weeks of world-wide mourning, Walker’s family gave their blessing to finish the film and bring closure to the series and it’s fans. Being reported this week, it appears Walker’s family will be giving more than just their blessing. Announced on their Facebook page, brother’s Caleb Walker and Cody Walker will be filling in for the film’s final scenes.
“We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our Fast family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too.”
This is pretty cool and I am sure very hard as well for Paul Walker’s family and friends. That said, I hope this brings some closure to all of his family and Fast and Furious family. Fast and Furious 7 is slated for a April 10, 2015 release. (Source: NYCDailyNews)
