Next Game in the Batman: Arkham Series Announced, Batman: Arkham Knight Coming Later This Year!

video-games-gaming-newsAs leaked over the weekend, the next and final chapter in the Batman: Arkham series will be arriving later this year. A retailer promo was shown in a leaked image that revealed the upcoming title, but no details were available. Then earlier today a UK game retailer leaked more info (which has since been pulled).

Now it looks like Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment are getting out ahead of the leak and posting the first trailer for this next chapter, Batman: Arkham Knight. It will also be the feature story and cover for the April issue of GameInformer, who also reveals the game will feature, the Batmobile and a new area of Gotham City reportedly “far larger” than that of Arkham City. Batman will spend his time in the game hunting down familiar foes: Scarecrow, Two-Face, Penguin and Harley Quinn in particular.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced Batman™: Arkham Knight, Rocksteady Studios’ conclusion to the series of award-winning, best-selling titles Batman™: Arkham Asylum and Batman™: Arkham City. Batman: Arkham Knight is based on DC Comics’ core Batman license and will be available exclusively for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Windows PC.
