Next Assassin’s Creed Is Going to Set Sail in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

video-games-gaming-newsAssassin’s Creed III may have just come out a few months ago, but it isn’t stopping Ubisoft from announcing the next game in the franchise. In the next installment, the Assassin’s Creed it about to set sail on the high seas in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It will feature a new assassin and pirate named, Edward Kenway. It will set in the Carribean (Jamaica, Bahamas, Cuba, Mexico areas) and possibly England. Ubisoft also has released the cover art for the various consoles and PC packaging, you can check them out below. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U and PC. (Via Facebook & Kotaku)

UPDATE: The first trailer for next Assassin’s Creed chapter will be arriving next week. We also have a release date for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which will be October 29th, 2013. Also of note, Black Flag will be available for next-gen consoles too. (Source: Joystiq)

    My question is if this will be a next gen release or both ps3 and ps4…..we shall see.I remember the first years of the PS3,that sony was still releasing ps2 games the first couple of years.I wonder if we will see something similar.Hard to imagine ALL games being cut off for current systems…

    • Since it will be available in the fall, I’m going to guess PS3/360 only, and not for next-gen consoles.

    • Looks like I was wrong, it will be available for next-gen consoles. An udpate from Joystiq says it will be. Also look for the first trailer next week.
