Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was once one of the most popular game franchises in the early 1990s. From arcades to the Nintendo and Super Nintendo consoles…TMNT was everywhere. Then the dark days came of sub par GameCube releases based on the Mirage 4 Kids TMNT series and the movie licensed 2007 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CGI film.
In 2009, the XBox Live Arcade and PSN got the awesome Turtles in Time Re-Shelled game that was an homage to the old school era with slick new HD graphics.That’s all us turtle fans have had to play in the recent years…until now! With the Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series and toy line from Playmates Toys becoming a smash hit, it now looks like we could at long last have a new awesome TMNT game once again.
