New Blu-ray Releases: Week of February 3, 2015

This week’s new Blu-ray releases include a retelling of a classic, a guilty pleasure and a few oddballs peppered in for good measure.

Dracula Untold is the retelling of the Dracula story, but instead of using Bram Stoker’s novel as its influence, the film creates its own origin story for Vlad the Impaler. We know vampires are so five years ago and zombies are the it thing, but it’s worth checking out if you’re a fan of vampire stories.

Also out on Blu-ray this week is our own Jason’s guilty pleasure John Wick. The Keanu Reeves film is an action thriller that drew the influence of its action scenes from martial arts movies and anime. Apparently a sequel maybe in the works, so it might be a hidden gem that you’ll enjoy too.

If you’re an anime fan and would rather catch up on your building you collection library than catching John Wick, a few One Piece sets are hitting this week including the One Piece: Collection Eleven and One Piece Collection: Box Two – Episodes 104-205 (Amazon Exclusive).

Finally, if all the new releases have you stressed on what to buy next, why not pick up one of the Bob Ross The Joy of Painting 3 DVD set arriving this week and paint some happy little trees to put yourself in a zen state?
