Mondo today has posted a video that gives an inside look at their upcoming 1/6th scale Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures. Go behind-the-scenes with Mondo’s Creative Director Brock Otterbacher and sculptor Phil Ramirez of Ramirez Studios. The figures are fantastic blend of comic book and original Playmates Toys figures with sculpts based on the comic book likeness and color of the original figures. So while we wait for pre-orders to open up on these great looking figures, enjoy this look at the creation of them.

Along with the video, Mondo has posted a look at their Leonardo, the first of their 1/6th scale TMNT figures to be released. The figure has over 25 points of articulation and comes with interchangeable hands, weapons and accessories taken right from the pages of the comic book. Leonard goes up for pre-order this Thursday and will be priced at $149.99. • They kind of have a lil 2K3 influence too – at least in the faces.

    • The price is really disappointing on these. The $150 is right around what threezero is charging for those fantastic looking movie figures so this is a tough pill to swallow considering how much I like them.
