Mattel Unveils First Of Its SDCC 2015 Exclusives

Masters of the Universe Rotar vs. Twistoid
Mattel has unveiled two of its San Diego Comic-Con 2015 exclusives, today.

Mattel’s Ghostbusters line lives on with the Courtroom Battle Egon Spengler figure. Based on the Courtroom battle scene in Ghostbusters 2, the figure pays tribute to Harold Ramis, who played Egon in the Ghostbusters movies and recently died.

Masters of the Universe Classics collectors are one step closer to getting the complete vintage collection in classics form with the Masters of the Universe Rotar vs. Twistoid 2-pack. Originally tops, yes tops, in the ’80s toy line, the duo now have legs, though we’re not sure if they’ll come with optional, switch-out top parts to make them really spin.

Finally, if you missed out on them in early access in February, the Hover Robots 3-Pack is coming to SDCC. We reviewed Skeletor’s evil, mindless, robot goons and highly recommend them if you have a chance to pick them up.

Mattel’s San Diego Comic-Con exclusives will be available to Comic-Con attendees starting at 11 a.m. ET on Thursday May 28 for subscription holders with Early Access and at noon on Friday, June 1 for everyone else. Many of the products will also be available for purchase on after SDCC for non-attendess. The post-SDCC sale is scheduled for noon on July 27.
