Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige Updates on Phase 3 Plans for Dr. Strange and Hulk

hollywood-movie-newsEven though the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 2 has just kicked off with Iron Man 3 this past weekend, many are already starting to ask and wonder what is next with Phase 3 . One name that has popped up more often is the master of mystical arts, Doctor Strange. From the recent interview with EW.com, Marvel Studios President of Production, Kevin Feige shared lots of great information, including that there is some definite talk about getting Doctor Strange to the big screen, along with possibly exploring the supernatural/magic side of Marvel.

Within the next year or so we’ll really start the advanced planning on post – Avengers 2, and I would love Strange to be a part of that. There’s a whole supernatural/magic dimension going on in Marvel comics that we haven’t ever touched on.

Another character that seems to be brought up time and time again is, the Hulk. The first two outings for the Hulk did just so so, and fans want more. After Mark Ruffalo‘s performance as Bruce Banner/the Hulk in Avengers, fans are wondering if we will see a new Hulk movie with Ruffalo in it. Feige mentions the previous rumor of a Planet Hulk movie, but shoots that right down. Says there is no script, but they are talking about it.

There’s no script in the works or anything, but we are talking about it. All the Hulk energy right now is on Avengers 2, but Mark Ruffalo is signed up [for more films]. What we’re excited about exploring and expanding is Mark – and Bruce Banner is not in Planet Hulk at all. The fun of Hulk is his interaction with humans.

Pretty exciting times if you are a comic book fan. Lots of great stuff on the horizon. I know I would love to see a Doctor Strange movie. Can’t wait to see what else is being planned for Phase 3. (Source: (Source: EW.com, via JoBlo)
