Marvel Movie News: Ant-Man Gets A Sequel! Black Panther and Captain Marvel Get New Dates!

Marvel has announced today that Ant-Man will be getting a sequel and will be taking over Captain Marvel’s previous original release date of July 6, 2018. The sequel will titled, “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” So this shifts other Marvel films around again little apparently, as they have announced that Black Panther has been moved once again from its original announced release date of Nov. 3, 2017 to July 6, 2018 and now to its new date of Feb. 16, 2018. And Captain Marvel has been moved again from its original date of July 6, 2018 then to Nov. 2, 2018 and now to its new release date of March 8, 2019. It is also mentioned that there will be three untitled Marvel Studios films taking the dates on May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020, and November 6, 2020.

So here is what we know for the future release dates of the Marvel Cinematic Universe:

  • Doctor Strange – November 4, 2016
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – May 5, 2017
  • Spider-Man reboot – July 28, 2017
  • Thor: Ragnarok – November 3, 2017
  • The Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 – May 4, 2018
  • Ant-Man and the Wasp – July 6, 2018
  • Black Panther – February 16, 2018
  • Captain Marvel – March 8, 2019
  • The Avengers: Infinity War Part 2 – May 3, 2019
  • Inhumans – July 12, 2019
  • Untitled Marvel Movie #1 – May 1, 2020
  • Untitled Marvel Movie #2 – July 10, 2020
  • Untitled Marvel Movie #3 – November 6, 2020

As it stands we get two new Marvel films next year, but then the following four years will have three each…for now.
