When many hear the name Lucasfilm, they immediately associate it with the Star Wars franchise. Well the have worked on other movies over the years, and today, they have unveiled their next animated feature, Strange Magic. It features a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps in a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
Lucasfilm publicist, Chris Argyropoulos, tweeted the first look at the movie, by sharing a still image featuring, Bog King (Alan Cumming), Griselda (Maya Rudolph) and Marianne (Evan Rachel Wood). Strange Magic features a story by George Lucas and is directed by Gary Rydstrom. It also stars Kristin Chenoweth, Sam Palladio, Meredith Anne Bull, Alfred Molina, Elijah Kelley, Bob Einstein and Peter Stormare. It is scheduled to arrive in theaters January 23, 2015.
