LEGO has announced a spin-off film of 2014’s The Lego Movie, this time starring Batman.
Titled The LEGO Batman Movie, LEGO’s latest minifigure adventure not only partners the Dark Knight with other members of DC’s Justice League–such as Superman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, The Flash, and Aquaman–but also LEGO’s brand of family-friendly humor. Two trailers for the upcoming movie are indicative of the laughs we’ll have at Batman’s expense.
The LEGO Batman Movie is directed by Chris McKay and stars Will Arnett as the voice of Batman. Arnett is joined by Ralph Fiennes, who plays Alfred Pennyworth; Michale Cera, who voices Robin,; Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker. It’s scheduled for a Feb. 10, 2017, release.
