Kotobukya is expanding its DC Comics license to include a Batman ARTFX+ statue based on the hit ’90s televsion show Batman: The Animated Series.
Featuring the blocky proportions seen in Bruce Timm’s animated style, Kotobukiya’s ARTFX+ animated Batman statue stands in a tenth-scale at just under 7.5 inches tall. Sculptor Keita Misonou captures the caped crusader in a wide stance–with his pointy cowl and scalloped cape cutouts–ready to spring into action. Batman is painted accurately to the animated model with black and gray being the predominant colors, and a subtle hint yellow and blue on the belt and cape, respectively. Koto’s Batman Animated ARTFX+ statue comes with a number of interchangeable parts for the ultimate in customization including three different sets of eyes (normal, squinting, and “weak”), three facial expressions (open mouth, scowl, and clenched teeth), and three poses for the right hand (thumbs up, holding a batarang, or holding a grapnel gun). As with all of the statues in the ARTFX+ lineup, magnets on the bottom of Batman’s feet aid in displaying the figure atop the included magnetic base.
Kotobukiya’s Batman Animated ARTFX+ Statue is priced $49.99 and is now available for pre-order at Koto’s official online store. Batman is scheduled for release in Nov.
