Kamen Rider and Ultraman Among Amazon Japan’s New Original Series

Some great news for Amazon Prime members and fans of either series, Ultraman or Kamen Rider. Earlier today THR reported that part of Amazon Japan has announced 12 of the 20 new original series, with spinoff series of both tokusatsu shows coming. No other details are available at this time, but it is known that the shows will be available globally to all Amazon Prime members. Whether there will be subtitles for those of us outside of Japan will remain to be seen. Some of the 12 new shows are available now, some more coming next month in June with more to follow in 2017. Unfortunately I see no mention of when the Ultraman and Kamen Rider series will be premiering either.

UPDATE: Upon further investigating reveals that Kamen Rider Amazons is the Kamen Rider series, which has already begun a first season (which started in April) on Amazon Japan. The series which is loosely based on the Showa era Kamen Rider Amazon series, features Amazons’ Alpha and Omega. When this series will be available for streaming outside of Japan remains to be known. Amazon Japan has already confirmed a second season of Kamen Rider Amazons for 2017.
