I’m not sure what to think of this latest Ninja Turtles reboot news. It certainly has been not taken too well in the geek community. Deadline is reporting that Johnny Knoxville (Bad Grandpa) has been added to voice the role of Leonardo, and Tony Shalhoub (Monk) will be voicing Splinter.
For filming purposes, Pete Ploszek played the role of Leonardo and Seinfeld’s Danny Woodburn fulfilled the role of Splinter. Their parts were not guaranteed anything more than the physical roles. So the voice parts were up in the air until now. So what do you think?
Also, the recent rumor of the film being delayed because of reshoots was only partially true. There will be some reshoots, which are common in movie production, but according to producer Michael Bay, who responded on Twitter, the movie is not being delayed.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is directed by Jonathan Liebesman and stars Megan Fox, Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Will Arnett, Danny Woodburn and William Fichtner, it is due to arrive in theaters on August 8. (Source: Deadline)
