With the 2016 annual Electronic Entertainment Expo, a.k.a. E3, just a few days away–more and more news is beginning to take shape. One of the most exciting, would be yesterday’s official announcement that NetherRealm’s DC Injustice: Gods Among Us will be getting the sequel treatment. After a couple of leaked posters for the game, NetherRealm decided to go on ahead and make it official.

So far the only information we have is that the game is simply titled “Injustice 2,” will have a new gear customization for characters, and will be available some time in 2017 on both the PS4 and Xbox One. Hopefully the game will follow its predecessor’s launch window with an early spring release. The original release was one of the best fighting games of the last generation and had a very successful comic run that just recently came to an end.
