Well Gotham returned tonight with an all new episode. It featured Jim Gordon now a guard at the Arkham Asylum. The episode featured a character named Jack Gruber (Christopher Heyerdahl), who will eventually be called the Electrocutioner. Though the alter ego is not the same, the name Electrocutioner first appeared in Batman comics in the early 80’s, then the current version in the early 90’s. So even though the setting has changed — from the streets of Gotham to Arkham — the “villain of the week” continues on the series.
Gotham stars Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue, Jada Pinkett Smith, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot (aka The Penguin), Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Corey Michael Smith as Edward Nygma (aka The Riddler), Clare Foley as Ivy Pepper (aka Poison Ivy), David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, and Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman). The next all new episode of Gotham will premiere in two weeks on Monday, January 19th at 8pm EST on Fox.
In an attempt to get his job back, Gordon seeks to capture Jack Gruber (guest star Christopher Heyerdahl), a deranged electrical genius who escapes Arkham Asylum. Meanwhile, Falcone struggles to hold onto his empire after Fish Mooney makes her next move.
