Many Ghostbusters fans are still mourning the loss of Harold Ramis, but that hasn’t stopped Hollywood from its interest in green lighting a new Ghostbusters film. With the news this past week of Ivan Reitman moving on from the long rumored Ghostbusters 3 project, many have given up and hope of a new film.
That is until today. Reports are coming in that directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street, The LEGO Movie) are moving forward with a reboot of sorts that would have cameos of the former Ghostbusters cast with production to begin next year.
Being a huge fan of Ghostbusters, I honestly feel the original cast missed their window in the early to mid 1990’s and with the passing of Ramis should just let this one go. The magic and chemistry of Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Bill Murray can not be replaced. That being said, I am sure I would still go see this movie just to support the franchise. (Source: SHH)
