The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Hasbro announced a deal between Allspark Pictures and Paramount, where their brands–G.I. Joe, Micronauts, Visionairies, M.A.S.K. and ROM–will interconnect in a shared cinematic universe. There were already reports that Paramount was going to hold a writer’s room for G.I. Joe in order to expand the brand, but now it appears they’re bringing additional Hasbro IPs aboard. There were hints of this being a possibility a few years ago when Hasbro released a comic book titled UNIT:E with the brands mashed together. Hasbro also released M.A.S.K.’s Matt Trakker as an action figure in their G.I. Joe line in 2008, but this is certainly an interesting development.
