FX Renews ‘The Bridge’ for a Second Season

television-news-and-talkI think FX has been on a role the last few years with really great original programming. And this summer a new series debuted, The Bridge. I was hooked from the first episode too. A fantastic series takes viewers into the two worlds of the Mexico border city of El Paso, Texas and the neighboring Juarez, Mexico and how they are intertwined when a killer sets loose upon them. It has some interesting characters to say the least too. Diane Kruger, who plays Detective Sonya Cross, a member of the El Paso Police Department, who also has Asperger syndrome, is very interesting. At times the things she just blurts out make me feel a bit uncomfortable for the people she is talking too.

Overall a great series, and if you haven’t checked it out, I recommend you do so. And don’t worry, FX has announced they are renewing The Bridge for a second season. With ratings at an average of 3.65 million viewers each week, fans will get at least one more season to enjoy. The season one finale of The Bridge airs on Wednesday, October 2nd at 10pm EST.
