Frinkiac Search Engine Lets You Search Nearly 3 Million Simpsons Screencaps

Professor FrinkIf you’ve ever wanted to find a photo from a scene in The Simpsons, but couldn’t remember the episode it appeared in, you’re in luck. Frinkiac is a new Simpsons-based search engine that allows you to search nearly three million screencaps from the first 15 season of the show.

Frinkiac’s search works by indexing each episode’s subtitles. Entering a quote from the an episode will yield photos from the scene the line was spoken in. Once you’ve found the photo you’re looking for, you’ll get detailed information about the season and episode it appeared in, as well as a timestamp. As a bonus, you can also create your own meme with the photo. We entered a couple of our favorite Ralph Wiggum doozies including “I bent my Wookiee” and “Hi Supernintendo Chalmers” to great success.

Named after Simpsons scientist Johnatan I.Q. Neidelbaum Frink, Jr., B.Sc., Ph.D. M.R.S.C., C.Chem,–better known as Professor Frink–Frinkiac was created by Paul Kehrer, Sean Schulte and Allie Young for people who love The Simpsons and to spur more appreciation and re-watching of the long-running animated series.
