Entertainment Weekly Conjures First Look at Marvel’s Dr. Strange

Dr. Strange
Entertainment Weekly has conjured up a first look at Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange for the upcoming eponymously titled Marvel movie.

Marvel’s Dr. Strange is based on the story of brilliant, but egotistical Doctor Stephen Strange. Strange suffers a career-ending injury that leads him to seek console in ancient healing and a path in mysticism as the Sorcerer Supreme, protecting Earth against magical threats. Although principal photography for Dr. Stange only began in November, EW’s photos show Cumberbatch is making the transformation from surgeon to sorcerer, wearing the Cloak of Levitation and amulet containing the Eye of Agamotto.

Dr. Strange is directed by Scott Derrickson and stars Benedict Cumberbatch in the title role of Dr. Strange. Cumberbatch is joined by co-stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelsen. Dr. Strange opens in theaters November 4, 2016.
