Emmett Scanlan Joins the ‘Constantine’ Cast as Det. Jim Corrigan (aka The Spectre)

television-tv-news-and-talkThe DC Universe expands even further on television. It is being reported that Emmett Scanlan has been cast as Detective Jim Corrigan on NBC’s Constantine. If you are familiar with DC Comics, then you may recognize that name as the man who will eventually become The Spectre. For the time being at least, he will remain just the detective, but the opportunity to introduce The Spectre will be there.

You might recognize Scanlan as he appeared most recently in the summer blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy as one of the Kyln’s prison guards. He will make his debut as Corrigan in the pilot episode of Constantine, and it looks as though he will be pretty much a regular on the series based on his IMDb page.

Constantine stars Welsh actor Matt Ryan in the role of John Constantine. The series will premiere this fall on Friday, October 24th at 10pm EST on NBC. (Source: EW)
