Over the last two holidays, Playmates’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures, based on Nickelodeon’s TMNT animated series, have been the “it” item for kids, but why should kids get to have all the fun?
The aptly named Dreams Come True Company, who brought Nick’s TMNT to Japan this spring, has announced a collector-friendly, hyper-articulated and accessory loaded line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as part of Kaiyodo’s Revoltech Series of figures, for this fall. The Revoltech Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Figures each come with their trademark weapons and a unique manhole cover display stand, but that’s not all. In addition, Leonardo includes a pizza and switch-out “shocked” head, Raphael includes a switch-out “angry” head, Donatello includes a switch-out “drooling” head and beating heart, and Michelangelo includes a spinning nunchaku effect and a switch-out “smiling” head.
According to Dreams Come True, their Revoltech Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Figures will be released in pairs with Leo and Raph available starting in late September and Don and Mikey coming in early October. Each figure lists for ¥4800, which is roughly $48 based on exchange rates. There’s no word if these will be available for purchase in the U.S. so if you’re looking to import these from Japan, we highly recommend e-tailers AmiAmi and Hobbylink Japan.
