‘Doctor Strange’ Movie One Step Closer to Moving Forward As Marvel Eyes Four Directors

hollywood-movie-newsThere hasn’t been a lot of talk about Marvel’s Doctor Strange movie, but it still doesn’t have me pretty excited at the thought of one being made. Initially thought to be apart of Marvel’s Phase Three, but that remains to be seen if it has kept a slot. We’ve also only had rumors for the upcoming film, including villains and a possible pick for Stephen Strange himself.

So aside from rumors, we haven’t had much news on the upcoming movie. Today THR is reporting that Marvel is eyeing four directors for the film. The four contenders are Mark Andrews (Brave), Nikolaj Arcel (A Royal Affair), Dean Israelite (Welcome to Yesterday) and Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies, 50/50).

Also mentioned is that Jon Aibel and Glenn Berger, the writers behind the Kung Fu Panda movies, are being considered for the Doctor Strange screenplay. Sounds like we are inching closer to some pre-production for the release date in 2016 or 2017. Marvel has already secured May 6, 2016 and May 5, 2017 for untitled movies. Fingers crossed this still happens. (Source: THR)
