DC’s Justice League America to Become JL Canada is No More, Now JL United

comic-book-newsBack in August, DC Comics announced that Justice League America would be seeing a major change in 2014. After the events of the Trinity War and Forever Evil, Justice League America was going to be taking a trip to the North. At that time, the book was going to be retitled Justice League Canada.

Now fast forward to today, DC Comics announced that the series was ending, but would no longer be called Justice League Canada, but will now be called Justice League United. This new team will consist of some existing members Green Arrow, Hawkman, Martian Manhunter, and Stargirl and some new ones, which includes: Adam Strange, Alanna Strange, Animal Man, and Supergirl. In this new series, the JLU will be splitting their time between Canada and outer space.

Justice League United will debut in April with an extra-sized zero issue, which will then be followed by #1 in May. The first story arc will be called “Justice League Canada” and is written by Jeff Lemire with art by Mike McKone. (Source: USA Today)
