DC Collectibles Goes Beyond Batman Animated

DC Collectibles Batman AnimatedDC Collectibles is expanding their animated Batman offering with new figures and an additional animated series.

DCC’s Batman animated line, comprised of figures and vehicles based on Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures, will now incorporate characters from Batman Beyond starting in Jan. 2017. Batman Beyond, which follows a retired Bruce Wayne in the role of mentor to the next generation’s Batman, kicks things off with a three-pack including Bruce Wayne, Batman and Ace the Bat-Hound.

The New Batman Adventures is getting two new multi-packs based on episodes from the series, including an all-female character five-pack. The five-pack, inspired by a season two episode titled Girl’s Night Out includes Poison Ivy, Batgirl, Supergirl, Harley Quinn and Livewire. It’s scheduled for release in September. In addition, a “Legends of the Dark Knight” set will include Batman, a Carrie Kelley version of Robin and Mutant Leader figures from the eponymously titled The New Batman Adventures season four episode. The “Legends of the Dark Knight” set arrives in Oct.

Finally, look for Harley Quinn, Firefly, Harvey Bullock, Scarface, Talia al Ghul, Joker, Anti-Fire Suit Batman and Clayface figures based on their character’s appearances in Batman: The Animated Series. The individually packaged figures are expected to hit stores in Sept., followed by a Joker based on the Christmas with the Joker episode, complete with his anemic-looking Christmas tree, in Dec.

Speaking of Christmas, last year DC Collectibles gave us the big-ticket Batmobile from Batman: The Animated Series in time for the holiday season. The big-ticket tradition will live on in 2016 with the release of the Batwing in Oct. Like the Batmobile the Batwing will have LED-light functions and can hold two figures in the cockpit. The Batwing has a suggested price of $100.
