David Bowie has died at the age of 69, after an 18-month battle with cancer.
Best known as a singer-songwriter, Bowie’s eclectic music style spanned 40-plus years. While music was Bowie’s forte, his career included several acting roles on broadway and the silver screen. Those unfamiliar with Bowie’s music may recognize him as the contact juggling Goblin King Jareth from the 1986 adventure fantasy film Labyrinth. Directed by Jim Henson and executive produced by George Lucas, Labyrinth saw Bowie perform alongside a myriad of Henson’s intricately crafted puppets in a role perfectly suited for his personality. Long live the Goblin King!
