It looks like The CW is showing no signs of slowing down in their expansion of their DC Universe. The have two hit series which they renewed for another season each, and now thanks to KSiteTV, we have word that they are bringing an animated series into the mix. Based on the DC Comics’ character Vixen.
The series tentatively set to arrive this Fall, and will be tied into the worlds of The Flash and Arrow. The man we can thank for this is Marc Guggenheim, a producer on The Flash and Arrow series. Vixen won’t be heading to The CW network on your televisions, but it will be premiering on CW Seed, the network’s online content project. (Source: The CW)
In addition to Vixen, it sounds like The CW is eyeing another live action series as well. Rumors are pointing to Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer (aka, the Atom) character, who is now in the third season of Arrow. According to CW Network President, Mark Pedowitz, “[c]ould there be another hour in that universe? Possibly. As long as there’s no audience fatigue.” Also some feel there is a possibility of The Flash’s Firestorm being a candidate too. (Source: TVLine)
