CBS Announces Full Season Order For SUPERGIRL

Announced earlier today, CBS has given an order for seven more episodes of Supergirl. This brings the total to 20 episodes for season 1. The series debuted to strong numbers making it the top premiere series this fall TV season. Though ratings have slipped a bit, it remains a top rated series and with this announcement it shows that CBS has confidence in the show.

SUPERGIRL currently averages 11.24 million viewers, 2.8/08 in adults 18-49 and 3.5/09 in adults 25-54. The series has improved the year-ago time period by +46% in viewers, +40% in adults 18-49 and +25% in adults 25-54.

SUPERGIRL stars Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh and Jeremy Jordan with David Harewood and Calista Flockhart. Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler, Andrew Kreisberg and Sarah Schechter are executive producers for Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television. SUPERGIRL is based on the characters from DC Comics.

Late last week, it was reported in a rumor that Supergirl could be seeing a crossover with The Flash in May. But this was contingent on the series getting a full season order. So with this news it is possible this rumor could end of being true.
