Casey Kasem, A Voice of The ’80s Generation, Dies at 82

television-news-and-talkOne man who could be considered a major “voice” of the 1980s would be Casey Kasem. Regrettably today it is being reported after a long fought battle with Lewy body disease, a common form of progressive dementia, Kasem has passed away at the age of 82 (April 27, 1932 – June 15, 2014).

He voiced Shaggy on Scooby Doo, Robin on Super Friends, Cliffjumper (& Bluestreak) on Transformers; he was also the radio voice we tuned into on Sundays for the American Top 40 music of the ’80s. He will be missed, rest in peace Casey Kasem. (Via Variety)
