Rounding out the weekend of the return of great TV shows, premiering tonight on AMC is Breaking Bad the final episodes and new series, Low Winter Sun. As the tagline says, all bad things must come to an end, and that is what we are getting with the final eight episodes of Breaking Bad. The amazing series about a mild-mannered high school science teacher that was diagnosed with cancer, Walter White (Brian Cranston) just wanted to provide for his family and not have them overwhelmed with his medical bills. But we watched him transform into something else. How will it end for Walter? What will become of his family? Breaking Bad season 5, part 2 premieres tonight on AMC at 9pm EST.
Also premiering tonight is AMC’s new series, Low winter Sun. Based on the 2006 British two-part mini-series of the same name. Low Winter Sun is the story of murder, deception, revenge and corruption in a world where the line between cops and criminals is blurred. It begins with the murder of a cop by a fellow Detroit detective, Frank Agnew (Mark Strong). Seemingly the perfect crime, in reality the murder activates forces that will forever alter the detective’s life, and pull him into the heart of the Detroit underworld. Low Winter Sun premieres tonight on AMC at 10pm EST.
Both series show that things are not always black and white. They should be great complimentary series to each other. Looking forward to seeing how Breaking Bad ends, and seeing if Low Winter Sun will be another AMC hit series or not.
